H) Did the employees look
motived?
McDonalds employees have
many different responsibilities in some environment. Even their job is tired
they do management to motivate their customers by making sure they are focused
and have the energy to work efficiently. Employees work the most when they
truly feel up to the tasks. Although
the term 'benefits' is becoming a term. The benefits package is a great way to
look motivated. Incentives are also produce hard working employee and motivate
all to become the best employees.
When we ask the employee what kind of work they enjoy,
they also find out about what they’re hoping to do in the future. Giving employees
opportunities to build the skills and make the connections they need to get
ahead in their careers will build loyalty and motivation. It’s
very important for employees to keep learning new skills on the job. With
people changing jobs more often than they used to and no longer promising long-term employment, employee
in particular realize that continuing to learn is the way to stay employable.
Employees pay attention to the big picture and the
details, and care about both the product and the employees. A good way to show
that is be involved in the creation process, and to pay attention to what is
going on in the enviroment. They said
remember to do this with a smile on your face. Lighten up! Making work fun
really pays off, since customers often get a lot more done when they enjoy
themselves.
Employers are often amazed how well this one little
trick, which costs nothing, can so strongly motivate employee behavior. Managers
often think that their employees are only motivated by money, but the truth is,
employees want to like their jobs. They want to like their higher management.
This can be a huge leverage for employers, especially in tough times when need
sometimes its just there for performance.
If motivation
efforts aren’t working, it may not be your fault. Not everyone can be motivated
for that particular job. If an employee would really rather be doing something
else, it may be best to encourage him or her to pursue something new.
D) Identify one theory from the notes that you feel
related to the outlet explain and why?
The motivation of employees is important to
organizations since it is one of several factors that significantly affects the
productivity of employees.Raising the level of motivation increases
profitability through greater creativity and commitment in employees.
Motivation-Hygiene Theory:
Five factors
stood out as strong determiners of job satisfaction:
·
Achievement
·
Recognition
·
Work itself
·
Responsibility
·
Advancement
The last three factors were found to be most important
for bringing about lasting changes of attitude. It should be noted, that
recognition refers to recognition for achievement as opposed to recognition in
the human relations sense.
By providing motivators and removing hygienes,
management can facilitate the growth of employees. This is essential to both
the individual and the organization. Growth makes the employee more valuable to
the organization because of his/her ability to perform higher order duties. Management
cannot really motivate employees, it can only create the environment in which
the employees motivate themselves.
Adding tasks can raise the level of challenge in any
particular job to a level commensurate with the abilities of an employee. It
might be argued that, if a job can not be enriched and it is not challenging to
the person in that position, then that person ought to be replaced by someone
who will find the job challenging. Adding different tasks to a job to provide
greater involvement and interaction with the task.
An application of Maslow's concepts suggests that
people work to achieve what they do not have. As such, the set of motivators can different from person to
person. Instead of saying that Herzberg’s findings only apply to middle level
professionals, it would be more correct to say that Herzberg’s findings apply
to people that have needs and wants similar to the test subjects.
When attempting to motivate employees, it is important
to know their needs. Effective motivation results from a determination of what will motivate employees
and then providing the factors that address those needs.
A) Give
a brief introduction on the outlet you observed.
Mcdonald is the world famous fast food restaurant.McDonald’s
has a rich history that started out in 1954. The company was put to the
spotlight by Ray Kroc. Throughout the years, marketing ideas have poured
through and helped the company become one of the most renowned fast food brands
globally. It is in this stage wherein the company would improve what they lack
thus making prospective customers to keep on coming back and ask for more.
It is said that
McDonald has been able to use various strategies to uplift and sustain their
competitive advantage in the market. The organization must learn and changes
based on current needs and flexible to changes in the environment, such as
customer trends, legal and regulatory restrictions and technologies changes.
The organization also have to have some advantages to sustain in the market
such as advantages of outsourcing is cheap, knowledge of foreign markets,
flexible resources, activities faster suppliers, relationship, etc, especially,
society can core competencies and outsource the rest to the center of the
family business.
Strategy is a planning that is used by an organisation
to achieve its goal and objectives. Mcdonalds is trying to
bring in innovation and make customer satisfy.day to day issues are planned to
satisfy customers.New products are introduced each month.in medium term they
are trying to maximise its profit and sales.
Mcdonald’s is considered to be the King of the fast
food.To achieve this greatness Mcdonald’s has tried hard for ages to prove
itself in the competitive environment of Fast food. The key factors in success
of Mcdonald’s in my view is innovation, customisation, good
management and above all best Marketing strategies adopted by
Mcdonald’s.Mcdonald’s in India has a very bright future because of the
customers bank, customised approach from Mcdonalds towards its customers and
above all the strong brand.
Conclusion
What became clear in this study was that it is
extremely important for staff to see that absenteeism would not be tolerated,
otherwise it would lead to worsening absenteeism and a host of other negative
effects on the workers and on the organization. The sooner management and
supervisors act on absenteeism, the better for the department, organization and
the employees. It is important to realize that there are many success stories
in business where absenteeism was reduced to an acceptable rate.
